The event was a massive undertaking, involving over 350 local volunteers from Sacramento and more than 100 volunteers globally. John’s ability to lead such a diverse and large team with calm demeanor and meticulous planning was nothing short of remarkable. The convention attracted over 2,700 attendees from around the world, all of whom were profoundly impressed by the organization and execution of the event.
      John’s exemplary leadership during the convention showcased his exceptional skills in coordination, collaboration, and crisis management. John Britto during his tenure as the president of Sacramento Tamil Mandrum (STM), despite the covid restrictions and challenges he stayed committed to serving the Sacramento Tamil Community and did all the basis to secure the opportunity to host the Fetna Convention in Sacramento, California. Sacramento Tamil community is relatively small both in terms of population and economic might. To host an event like Fetna Convention, it required John to be more creative in fund raising and logistics efforts and involving more than just the Sacramento Tamil community and bringing folks from west coast in general. He rallied the troops and organized fund raisers, logistics and delivered a successful 36th Fetna convention in 2023.
Having closely working with John on the STM board in various capacities I have been inspired by his leadership, selflessness, and commitment. Regardless of the size of event, there is consistent effort and dedication from John to ensure that the event is successful. He not only puts in his personal effort, but he also makes the entire team work towards the singular cause by leading from the front. John has been actively involved in the STM activities even after his presidential tenure.
He is dedicated person to furthering the cause of Tamil people not just in Sacramento but in entire North America. I strongly believe that he deserves the opportunity to serve the Northern American Tamil community. Based on my past interactions with him I have no doubt that he would be the perfect candidate for the treasure position.

I am currently serving as Treasurer in STM, California and I was the Board of Directors at Thiruvalluvar Tamil Academy. I strongly recommend Mr. John for the Treasurer position in the FetNA election. I have known John for more than 10 years; he is a hardworking, dedicated, and great leader. John served as STM President for two years, and he has started many new initiatives and taken STM to the next level. His leadership skills are phenomenal and his core strength is inclusive, he will make sure no one is left alone from the team and make sure all the team members are succeeding in their goals and achieving the heights. He had a vision to bring Fetna to Sacramento, and he worked very hard and was indefatigable to make it happen. I feel John is a very good fit for the Fetna treasurer position because he led the 36th Fetna convention team in STM and fundraised more than $1 million.
